By Bike along the Camino Portugués describes a journey from Lisbon to Santiago in the Spring of 2015 following the course of the medieval Camino Portugués. The journey was undertaken on a folding bike and the author stayed in various types of accommodation along the way. The author sought out interesting churches, towns and historical places including a number of Roman sites from the first to the fourth centuries. Portugal is a fascinating place to visit and travel through and the use of a bike brought the author into close and leisurely contact with the country and its institutions. The book is plentifully illustrated with colour photos of things and places encountered.
