The "People Power" Love/ Lust Superbook: Book 27. Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual Guide 1 (Gay Lifestyle – Family – Fun - Activism)
In all of past history and even now, gay people have had a tough go of it. First off, they had a hard time finding each other, the public at large hated them, most Gods hated them and they could have been thrown in jail, mental institutions or killed for gay activity. I read that homosexuality was largely tolerated in the early Christian church because it was so rampant among the clergy. In 1260, the French government passed a law declaring that a man's testicles would be cut off for a first offence of homosexuality, the penis for the second and death by burning for the third. Hitler capped off the purge by trying to exterminate gays in the late 1930s and early 1940s. In the mid-1800s, homosexuality went from being a moral sin to being a mental/ genetic disease.
