The “People Power” Travel Superbook: Book 22. Eastern Europe Travel Guide

ByTony Kelbrat

The countries of Central or Eastern Europe are generally classified as: Albania Andorra Belarus Bosnia Bulgaria Croatia Czech Republic Estonia Georgia Hungary Kosovo Latvia Lithuania Macedonia Moldova Montenegro Poland Romania Russia Serbia Slovakia/ Slovak Republic Slovenia Turkey Ukraine Yugoslavia (Serbia) Albania is a small country beside Greece on the Adriatic Sea. It has been called the poorest European country. It is corrupt and dangerous too. Estonia is up in the north between Russia and Latvia on the Baltic Sea. It owns many islands. Georgia is near the Black Sea. Kosovo is considered unsafe to visit by many people. Russia has poorly maintained roads, poor road signs, low-quality gas and corrupt highway patrolmen who might to try to shake you down for an alleged driving infraction. Hotel rooms in Eastern Europe can be quite cheap. Try #914 at the library.
