ByTrevor Gyss

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
This publication contains notable events of the contribution of Aboriginal people to South Australian Football History. This research is confined to the 145 year history of the SANFL from its inception as the South Australian Football Association (SAFA) in 1877. The South Australian National Football League (SANFL) exhibition in the South Australian State Library “In a League of its Own” to celebrate 140 years of history featured a timeline. This has been updated for the 2022 exhibition: Our Footy, Our People, Our Stories. The timeline celebrates and identifies the contribution and achievements of its Aboriginal/First Nation participants. The information contained is presented to present notable individual contributions and achievements. Individual themes identify: Magarey Medallists, Club best player awards, top goalkickers, coaches and administrators.
