The Formation of Christendom, Volume II
The Christian Faith and Society
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Volume II addresses how the Church transformed society, through long suffering in three successive ages of martyrdom during the ten generations leading to Constantine. Living off slavery and its overall moral degradation, the heathen world has a growing sense of the danger Christianity presents to its still-powerful polytheistic system of gods and goddesses. Philosophy seems to offer any number of solutions that attempt to fill the gap left vacant by the heathen gods, but only the Christian life offers hope and enlightenment in a world of moral relativism.
