Earnest the Exploring Earthworm

Earnest is a very inquisitive earthworm who is not contented to remain underground, but wants to explore the surface of the earth. His friends try to discourage him from embarking upon his quest for adventure and freedom, by reminding him of all the challenges and dangers that may lie ahead. Even though Earnest is scared, he is undaunted by their remarks. He leaves the comfort of his village and proceeds to overcome one obstacle after another until he finally frees himself from his subterranean constraints.
