The knitted terms and directions are rewritten in today’s American pattern terminology. Yarn weight, yardage and needle sizes are updated. Sizes: 12 (14, 16). Directions are given for Size 12. Changes for Sizes 14 and 16 are in parentheses. Materials: Fingering Yarn (1-oz. pull skeins/185 yards): 1 skein; Contrast Color Fingering Yarn(2-oz. pull skeins/200 yards): 1 skein. 1 pair each straight knitting needles Nos. 4 (3.5 mm) and 15 (10 mm). 1 Button. Gauge: 5 sts = 1 inch on No. 15 (10 mm) needles; 6 sts = 1 inch on No. 4 (3.5 mm) needles.
