This book explores the forces that generate war and compares them with the arts of the peacemakers. It was written especially for Waldorf students and teachers and is useful for both high school and college courses. It can serve as a stimulus for raising consciousness through examination of the diverse forces active in both conflict and the art of peacemaking. Through the prism of biographies of both warmongers and peacemakers from the last century, the author brings the reader an opportunity to question his or her own relation to conflict and invites them to become a practitioner in the high art of creating peace.
