In 1955 Russian American writer Vladimir Nabokov wrote Lolita, a novel about a older man’s fascination and subsequent involvement with a flirtatious twelve year old girl who is as scheming as she is beautiful. Fiction? Non-Fiction? Fantasy? Reality? Who can say? I guess that every older guy has a secret wish to meet a younger woman who is attracted to him; but not necessarily one that is underage. The most commonly held belief regarding age and romance is that young girls would not want anything to do with an older guy. I beg to differ. It is not always about how old a guy looks or his age. I mean, I look okay. It is my sense of humor, personality and willingness to commit to a relationship that has tended to attract younger girls and it has been that way all my life.
