James was a quiet man, a hardworking father of one son, and good husband to his wife. One day a mysterious caller broke into his house and took them away and murdered them in cold blood, spiraling James' world into chaos. What would you do if you lost as much? Two detectives search for the killer in the cold barren snow covered streets of New York city and find a trail of bodies in their wake. An unknown man lurks the streets in search for his son, but finds he has to deal with his demons instead. In this, the first of a series, James tries to come to terms with what he's lost, and what's at stake, as it becomes clear that there's more at stake than he thinks, perhaps even reality itself. This is an adult oriented work of fiction which contains foul language and brutal violence.
