21 Identifying Marks of The Man Called Shepherd

The purpose of this study is three-fold: 1. To gain a better understanding of how God identifies this man 2. To provide a guide for churches to search for a biblical shepherd. 3. To provide a self-evaluation instrument for pastors/elders This work investigates several biblical terms and texts that answer the crucial question: How does God identify this man called shepherd. Are you willing to pursue that man and settle for nothing less? The answer must be paramount to you and your church. This is not a popularity contest about the man with the winsome personality but a tenacious pursuit of the man who fits God’s description.
