The Alligator Hoax

ByWilliam Perry Jr

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Two Delaware girls have fun with a dead alligator. They frighten everyone in Rehoboth Beach by making them think that the alligator is alive. Somehow word gets around that it was all a big hoax. Det. Carlos Ortega questions the girls. They come clean. Rita pretends to cry because she does not want to wind up in prison. The cop lets the girls off with a warning. But if it happens again, they will be placed behind bars. When Angela, Rita's sister finds out that Rita was fake crying to the officer, she locks her up in the closet, and Rita is giggling away. The ending is a reference to the 1943 Tex Avery cartoon One Ham's Family when the wolf takes back his fur from the mother pig saying "You and me both, sister! Hehe hehe hehe hehe hehe! And there is a sign that says "corny ending isn't it folks?" This is one funny book that will keep you laughing for days! Funny isn't it?
