The Rock of Our Salvation is a readable survey of all aspects of the character and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Plumer’s treatment is very valuable, and even when he simply lists information, the reader will find much encouragement. Each chapter has either numbered applications, direct exhortations to turn to Christ and depend entirely upon Him for salvation and every needed blessing, or the author’s prayer-response to the material he has covered.
