His book details his work with servicemen aboard US ships in the Pacific, and the work he performed alongside Allied troops fighting on Java and stationed in Australia. My Fighting Congregation provides an up-close look at combat from a different perspective, and it is an inspirational story of the role played by the US Army’s Chaplain Service during World War 2.
