About Willie Perkins III

Black/Native writer raised in a loving home and church. I grew up in urban Detroit and nurtured by the sounds of Motown. I write many genres and do not limit myself to any particular style or rules of writing. I present it as God give it. It may be a poem, song, story or thesis; I write it. My work was first published as an undergraduate student in the Journal of American Sociology. Two thesis, “Prison; Americas Cash Cow” a thesis critically examining the privatization of prisons and the implications of abuse. Also, “Teaching From The White Side of The Room” an analysis of the lecturing practices of white professors in predominantly white universities. My work here is non-academic but can be used as tools of education, insight and learning. There is more to come.
