The Morning I Almost Wasn't

The Morning I Almost Wasn't

ByWm R Ternan

The Morning I Almost Wasn't is the true account of a healthy and active man whose life is nearly erased, without warning, in front of a group of shocked and disbelieving 9th Graders. The factual, yet humorous and compassionate tale of one man's attempt to come to grips with the massive and unexpected changes that suddenly occur in his life which he fails to understand and refuses to accept. This is the story of a man whose ego is almost crushed when, for the first time in his life, something happens to his body through no fault of his own. In his relaxed style, the author tries to explain that we aren't infallible. He definitely wasn't, as he recently learned, and he wants us to understand that we aren't either. His story is one of shock and disbelief which he narrates like there is no tomorrow. He gives an account of near-disastrous events in a manner designed to make you laugh. But at the same time, he is saying that "You don't have the final say."
