Radicalism --like all Centralizations-- administers the government in the interest of its two constituencies, the Southern Negro, and the Northern Capitalist; to the ruin of the national industry, and the oppression of the Northern industrial class. The financial system of the Radicals embraces three points: (1) A most oppressive and ill-adjusted system of taxation bearing exclusively upon the productive industry of the country; which enhances the cost of production, with a corresponding increase of the prices of all articles in our markets, requiring an increased amount of currency to carry on the business of the country. (2) An immense inflation of the currency, in order to lighten the pressure of taxation, and create a temporary factitious prosperity; but which still further enhances the cost of production, and inflates the price of labor and all articles of consumption. (3) The encouragement of the continued exportation of our national debt
