The woods surrounded me like a hug from a giant, and my anxiety kicked in, per usual. The thought of the King lounging around with his growing belly and drinking beer angered me. He was such a lazy bum, not doing any good to the kingdom of Cress. Anytime I asked him a question about his job or the matters he had to deal with he would shut me down. To him, I was just a child that didn’t know anything. But in reality, he was the one that was a child. The Queen had to do all of the work every single day, ruling the district of Maravia in the Shadows Castle, while he was eating grapes in bed. The thought of my father made me want to throw something.
