10 years of Young SIETAR: 1997 – 2007

Young SIETAR is the Young Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research (www.youngsietar.org) and has been established in 1997. It is an international organization without borders, regional or local branches which exists thanks to the commitment and ideas of its diverse but highly enthusiastic members. As a network of intercultural academics and young professionals, Young SIETAR brings together interculturalists from all over the world. Young SIETAR celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2007 and this book looks back at ten very creative years! Ruth van Reken: “I would say that this is one of the most energetic, creative, and positive groups I have ever seen. I love how a group of young people dared to believe they could make a difference and find ways to meet the needs they had for their generation by creating a way and space that reflected their time and culture, while still tapping in to those who had walked before them”.
