The book includes three parts, (1) the apologies to the then teachers by Song Binbin, one of the persons in charge of the school at the time; (2) the reflections on the death of the principal by the then students via different angles and perspectives; (3) the public criticisms against Song Binbin, revealing the grievances against the violence by the Red Guards incited by Mao and the Party.
