Forsaken Identity

Forsaken Identity

A Christian short story.

ByArtzenin EklektósZion Studio

Kaito Masaki seemed to possess everything life could offer, yet amid a crowd, he felt profoundly alone. Surrounded by wealth, his affluent parents could procure every material desire within their realm, but they could not buy the warmth of his heart. As the years dripped away like melting ice in the grand mansion, his heart grew colder and more bitter, rendered invisible and voiceless, merely existing as the legal heir to a vast empire. Kaito longed to be seen, heard, cherished, and respected, yearning to understand the essence of love unclouded by titles. Upon reaching adulthood, a revelation dawned upon him: he could no longer linger in his opulent mansion or remain in a Country that felt foreign to his spirit. To grasp what he truly sought, Kaito needed to forsake his identity as a Higher elite. Although he had heard whispers of Elohim growing up, he had never embraced Them or acknowledged Yeshua as his Savior, much less as his King. Raised within the confines of a silent and rigid household, his family had little time for the pursuit of a genuine, living deity. Yet, when his parents turned their gaze elsewhere, Kaito would quietly seek out the Creator of the cosmos, wondering if such a powerful being could ever love a soul as fractured and weary as his own. He pondered whether the Creator could take delight in shaping him into something radiant, like a brilliant diamond. In his quest to abandon his lofty title, Kaito encountered a captivating Lesser woman. She gifted him a stone, leading him to a path adorned with vibrant, rainbow-colored stones, each waiting to be gathered. Though uncertain of their significance, Kaito collected the shimmering gems, hoping to once again cross the threshold into the presence of the enchanting woman who had ignited a flicker of hope in his heart.
