Janie Quinn Storck, a former Human Resources Administrative Assistant for a Fortune 100 company, also worked as a cab dispatcher, bookkeeper, and contracts administrator. She was born at her grandparents' home in a small town in Alabama but grew up in Miami, Florida. She has traveled the United States, Canada, Mexico and also in Europe. Besides Miami, she has lived in Titusville, Florida, and Hendersonville, NC. She also lived in Idaho previously and has recently returned to the state. She has had several short stories published in literary magazines, one of which won an award. Besides her vocation of writing, she spends time reading, painting and drawing, and watching old movies. She has sung with choruses and sang a solo at her best friend's wedding. Besides her dream of writing the Great American Novel, if she had been born earlier, she would love to have been a Big Band singer
