Marian R. Applegate
As a retired junior high school teacher, living in Sun City, Roseville, California. I belong to P.E.O Chapter WC (for women’s scholarships), a writing group, play golf, travel, enjoy community activities, and love my children, grandchildren and family activities. I’ve written most of my life. My writing includes: two plays for the Sonoma Theater and Grass Valley players, Murder on the Sixth Floor, a melodrama, The Winemaker’s Daughter, eight mystery participation plays for fund raisers for AAUW, Lions Clubs, and PEO. Two children’s adventure books, Mandy Dandy’s Spy Ring and Sarina’s Secret Switching to an adult mystery books, Murder in the Mansion, Murder on the S.S. Sea Mist, Murder at the Governor’s Ball. Next came Double Double Cross, Defying Fate, Tight Entanglement. A few short stories with commendations and awards. (The Gift,, an award from Writer’s Digest, and The Grand Prize, an award from the California Writer’s Club.)
