Maurizio Berti is an architect specialised in restoration in Venice and Padua. He obtained his PhD in Rome. For thirty years he was an architect restorer in the municipality of Padua. As an adjunct professor, he taught at the University “Eduardo Mondlane” in Maputo from 1993 to 2000, at the University “Sapienza” of Rome from 2001 to 2008 and at the University of Urbino from 2004 to 2008. As associate professor, he was dean in the Faculty of Architecture at the University Lúrio in Mozambique from 2011 to 2016. His publications concern the preservation of cast-iron architectures, historic fortifications and coral stone buildings.
