Sheryl Kirby
Sheryl Kirby is a food writer from Toronto, Canada. She has written for publications such at the Toronto Star, TAPS, and Edible Toronto, and was the editor and publisher of the food and drink website TasteTO. She trained in culinary arts at George Brown College and once ran an event planning and concert production company where she cooked for rock stars. Kitchen Party, her book of food-related familiar essays, traces her story as a food writer, starting with her childhood in Nova Scotia where she gained an appreciation for seasonal, local ingredients, and follows her as she moves to Toronto to discover the sights, sounds - and flavours - of a multicultural city.
