Bernard Whimpress is one of Australia's leading sports historians and the former curator of Adelaide Oval Museum. Bernard has written and edited 50 books, most of them on cricket, and published and edited the Australian cricket journal Baggy Green from 1998 to 2010. He holds a doctorate in history from Flinders University and won a South Australian Life-Long History Achievement Award in 2017. Bernard was awarded an Order of Australia Medal in the King's Birthday Honours in 2025.
