About Hans Beumer

HANS has written more than 20 books in the categories of auditing, travel, self-help, and children’s books. A career in auditing of nearly three decades made him a highly recognised professional and thought-leader in the profession of internal auditing. He has written seven books on internal auditing leadership, management, strategies, and risk management. The Institute of Internal Auditors (The IIA), USA, recognised his expertise and contracted him to write the first chapter of the 7th edition of SAWYER’S Internal Auditing (the IA Profession standard): Developing an Internal Audit Strategy. As energetic hiker he has hiked main pilgrimage routes such as the Way of St. James through Switzerland (see his books on the Swiss Camino) and the Kumano Kodo in Japan (see his book Kumano Kodo). Through these books he turned his pilgrimage experiences into comprehensive guides for the international hiker. While searching for illustrated children’s books to read to his grandchildren, he noticed that there were no adventure books where children interact with their grandparents. So, he decided to write such books himself, initially just to read to his own grandchildren. This is how the Snow Globe Adventures Series was born. His success in writing these children’s books in rhyme and the lively and colourful illustrations attracted the attention of Pegasus Elliot Mackenzie Publishers, Cambridge, UK, who is now publishing his well-known illustrated children’s books.
