About
My Incredible Misadventures

Adventures and misadventures in a young man’s life are what make manly character. I had plenty to be sure, but I understand in today’s culture that many young men do not have the same opportunities that I had; therefore, I write stories to capture the imagination of young men and ignite their innate sense of adventure as they travel the world of my mind’s eye. In this book are twenty of my best ‘misadventures.’ By no means are they all my wonderful experiences. Perhaps, if this book is received well, a second book of Misadventures will be needed. They are listed chronologically in a sort of autobiographical outline. It is important for the reader to know that I am relating stories of events that happened in my life that had a significant effect on forming my character as a man. As a military dependent I grew up around other military families and as such had an amazing group of friends. Many of which became quite successful in their lives; however, not all made good life choices. I touch on those choices and their effects. My life has been amazing and a bit unusual inasmuch that I not only lived in many places in the United States, but also in Iran during the early to mid-1960s. My formative years were collectively spent mostly in Augusta Georgia, Okinawa, Guam, and Tehran Iran. It is my contention that a young man’s character is an amalgam of his choices, experiences, and most importantly his misadventures.
