Clare Floyd DeVries and Richard de Zwart are co-authors of Ptolith in the Time of Rain, first in a series of fantasy stories set in the world of Aenoriia. Clare Floyd DeVries (on her own) is an architect and an award-winning scenic designer. At the turn of the millennium Clare hopped the fence into theater – well, it looked like fun. It is. Eventually she taught herself to do what it was she was trying to do - while taking notes that became this book. After 250 professional regional and civic stage productions, one critically praised Indie film, and an obscure TV game show, comes this second, expanded edition. Clare has spoken on and taught aspects of theater and production design to audiences including: Stage West Theatre's Design Apprenticeship Program; the MFA scenic design program of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville; kids’ theater camps; her blog; and Stage Directions magazine. She's been featured in a KERA "Artist Profile" and appeared in the NPR series “American Stages.”
