Enrico Savazzi worked as a researcher in paleobiology and university lecturer for 27 years in several countries, including Italy, Germany, USA, Sweden and Japan. He practiced scientific photography of small subjects throughout his career, and personally prepares all illustrations of his scientific papers (over 70 journal articles, book chapters and books). After switching from film to digital photography in 2000, he started devoting a large portion of his web site (www.savazzi.net) to equipment and techniques useful in scientific photography.
