Jack Nganga was born on 31st July 1982 in Kikuyu location, Kiambu county, in Kenya. He was the seventh and last child. His father was a civil servant and his mother a homemaker. From an early age, he showed great interest in reading novels and writing short stories. However, he went through the Kenyan 8-4-4 system of education where he was unable to properly harness his passion and potential, for the system had little or no provisions to identify and nurture individual talents. His favorite subjects were English and History, but despite excelling in them, his overall grade which consisted of more than ten other subjects, failed to secure him a spot in a public university where he had hoped to pursue a degree in English literature and History. He trained as a computer technician instead and has been doing freelance work in Nairobi. He is about to complete two fiction book; An African epic narrative and an American novel-both to be released in July and August respectively.
