Lyn McConchie

Lyn McConchie is a New Zealand author, who writes in a range of genres: science fiction, fantasy, horror, humour, mystery, and westerns. Lyn's first professional sales were in 1990; since then she has had many short stories published in nine countries, in both print and electronic magazines; 37 books have appeared and others have been sold; and several books are being translated and republished in other languages. Lyn's awards include New Zealand’s Sir Julius Vogel award in 2011 for Best SF/F novel for The Questing Road and for Best Young Adult Novel for Summer of Dreaming; in 2002 for Beast Master’s Ark; 2004 for Beast Master’s Circus; and 2005 for The Duke’s Ballad. In addition to books published by Warner, Tor, Wildside, and others, Lyn has written a series of humorous books chronicling her life on a small farm in New Zealand.
