Linda Duyer

Linda Duyer researches historical topics, in particular Delmarva African American history and culture and community history. A native of the Maryland Eastern Shore and residing in the area, Linda lives in Salisbury, Maryland. Research began in earnest around 1990, documenting African American cemeteries and communities. She has volunteered with the Charles H. Chipman Cultural Center and the Nabb Research Center of Salisbury University. She has served on the planning committee for the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Conference held annually in Cambridge, Maryland. She is a member of the Preservation Trust of Wicomico County, Maryland, works as a freelance writer, and is currently researching and writing a history of Salisbury, Maryland.
