While bookstores are filled with books, authors remain whose well-crafted prose is not finding a publisher and so, depriving readers of great books as the authors have yet to make a name in the publishing business. With the consolidation of publishing houses, some well-written works of Southern writers are remaining unknown manuscripts, when they could become beloved books. Our niche at Low Country Press is a particular one—centered on the writers and the stories of the coastal low country of Georgia and South Carolina, from Charleston to Savannah and south to the Golden Isles of Georgia. We are passionate about bringing to market quality regional historical and travel books as well as select fiction of low country authors. We are not a vanity press or a printer, but a regional publisher interested in discovering and working with talented writers.
