Maria Yraceburu

Maria was born and raised shamanically, growing up in relationship to the Earth and All Our Relations and spending hours in ceremony. Her passion for the work of the tlish diyan, led her to become the founding director for Yraceburu EarthWisdom, the global shamanic church. She also founded her own apprenticeship program, SpiralDancing Life, in 1996 and has won numerous awards over the years. Maria is also recognized as an accomplished Prayer Maker. In 2002 she produced and released a collection of traditional and contemporary story entitled “Legends and Prophecies of the Quero Apache.” Her subsequent written works, “Prophetic Voices of the Sisters of Honua” (2011), “Touched by the Clouds” (2011), “SpiralDancing Life” (1996), and “Plant, Stone and Animal" (2017) have cemented her place in the indigenous book industry.
