MD Shoatzycoatl was born in Fort Collins, Colorado in 1983. He earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in English from Colorado State University in 2006 and 2010 respectively. MD is a high school teacher, writer, and independent film-maker. He enjoys the rain, daydreaming, and the smell of new books. In his free-time, MD is an athlete and enjoys reading about philosophy, mythology, and religion (especially the works of Joseph Campbell).
