Mark ODoherty was born 1976 in Vienna, Austria and grew up in South Africa where he lives. He is the author of several books in the fields of peacebuilding, social science, law, ethics, philosophy and humor. He is also the CEO of the NGO BTB-Global Peacebuilding and the International Peacebuilding Alliance, which aims to assist the Global Community through Evidence-Based Research, Diplomacy, Mediation, Ethics, International Law, Counseling and Peacebuilding. Our vision is an International Community of a Just Peace. The importance of belonging to humankind takes precedence over all the marks of distinction that may separate one person from another. The thing that matters most is not that we have any particular cultural or national identity, or that we abide by any particular religious or philosophical conviction, but that we share with all humanity the highest values of Humanity: Love, understanding and compassion.
