Scott Albright is a freelance writer and reporter living in Hilo, Hawaii where he recently concluded his studies in a China-U.S. Relations Master's program. Scott previously worked as a newspaper reporter in Edgewood, New Mexico after receiving his bachelor's degree in political science at the University of New Mexico. From 2000 to 2004 Scott served in the U.S. Marine Corps, during which time he was deployed twice to Iraq and once out to sea in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Technipoems, the first of Scott's self-published books, is a collection of free flow poetry written as a way to reflect on his combat experiences and to help channel the emotions caused by these experiences into a constructive and positive outlet. More recently Scott has published a book titled Veteran's Notes: Bloggery of an Iraq War Vet, which is available on Amazon. Veteran's Notes is a collection of thoughts, notes, essays, poetry, newspaper articles, and blog posts about military and veteran issues.
