David Daniel has dabbled in soldiering, sailing, animal health and beef cattle production, rural extension and sociology and third world agricultural extension. He is a Vietnam Veteran, artist and author and very average exponent of country music. His stories are believable, humorous, sometimes cynical and carry the element of 'been there and done that' to make you want to read on. Devil in my Kidneys is his first work of fiction but based on personal experiences. His other books and cartoons including the Old Salty series and Rough as Guts are about his life, work and relaxation.
