Will McEwen - Publisher of Stash Magazine

Will McEwen is a medical and recreational cannabis enthusiast. After graduating from the Royal Military College of Canada with a degree in Computer Science in 2006 he worked as an engineering officer with the Royal Canadian Navy. He deployed in several overseas missions, earning a medal for participating in Operation Active Endeavour. He retired from the military in 2011, pursuing a degree in journalism at the University of King's College in Halifax, Nova Scotia. While at journalism school Will won the Bell Aliant Achievement award for his narrative non-fiction piece title John's Kids, which focused on the Occupy Nova Scotia movement. He was also nominated for a National Newspaper Award for his reporting on the failed immigration system in Prince Edward Island. Over the next few years he acted as a publisher for Mixtape Magazine, a media startup focused on independent Canadian musicians. His latest endeavour is called Stash - Canada's Cannabis Lookbook. Overseeing a team of contributors and also publishing this new quarterly publication in Canada, Will also contributes heavily to each issue. In the latest issue he interviewed CEOs, master growers, activists, entrepreneurs to give cannabis enthusiasts in Canada a deeper look at those growing a new and exciting plant up north.
