Born on the 20th of April 1944, ( a birthday shared with Hitler.) in his Grandma's front parlour room on Blackwell road, Carlisle, Terence then moved at the tender age of two years to 33 Botcherby Ave on the Botcherby Estate, where followed a wonderful childhood. Mam Sally ( Nee Gallefor.) and Dad, Philip William Joseph Beckett, raised a family consisting of, himself with Brenda, Brian, and Susan along with step brother Eric. I do not know wether we were rich or poor, but we were definetly happy. Terence left home at twenty, to marry the lovely Renee, his wife of almost fifty years, raising children, Karen, Philip and Micheal. Having worked for D C Thompson of Dundee as a scripwriter, plus spent a lifetime writng poetry, Terence self published a record of his time growing up in Botcherby the Cannibal Mouse in 2010, along with a 145 poem tome entitled Broken Stones. which are both available on LULU.com and Amazon. two other offerings are under way, hopefully to be published late 2012.
