About
Tess Quinn

I have been a fan of Jane Austen for many years, first introduced to Pride and Prejudice at age thirteen. I loved the novel immediately then, and there was no turning back. It took a bit longer, however, to pluck up my courage and write fiction based on the wonderful characters Miss Austen gave us - nearly 40 years in fact. But myriad readings in that time (and yes, I read other things too), coupled with a real reticence to "let go" of characters I have loved for so long, and wonderful reader feedback and encouragement, have kept me at it once begun. My output is slow in coming -- after all, sadly this is not my main employment -- but in 2011 one of my short stories was selected for publication in The Road to Pemberley, a Ulysses Press anthology. This spurred me to complete Pride Revisited, a collection of 16 stories written over 5 years. In addition, Caroline's Comeuppance continues to surprise me, and I have two new novels coming out in 2013. All P&P-based! Life is good!
