Weeks Parker
Weeks Parker has been awarded two plaques from city of Fayetteville, NC mayors in appreciation for his many years of capturing the city’s history on film and in books, and for serving as an ambassador for Fayetteville. He is a former college and high school band director and teacher of radio, television, electronics and robotics for Fayetteville Technical Community College at The Army Education Center at Fort Bragg, NC where he designed two life size robots, “Randy & Sandy”, who walk and talk and have appeared with him on television. He had his own Glen Miller style, twelve piece orchestra that played every Saturday night over radio station WFLB from the Ray Avenue USO Club which was the largest USO in the world. Weeks Parker is proud to have been a part of "The Big Band Era."
