I'm Jeremy Lynch. I'm 19, and up until a few months ago, I was normal. I wasn't perfect. I was ungrateful, spoiled, basically a smart mouthed little s*!t. And I had this habit of looking at someone and only seeing what was on the outside. I ignored the red flags, trusted the wrong the person. I don't have to tell you what that's like. You've been there. Besides, this story isn't about how I got knocked down. It's about how I, eventually, got back up. And learned some important stuff in the process. Like how to admit my older brother could be right – sometimes, how to appreciate my very cool (though overprotective) parents, and how to get along with my new brain. I even learned to get over the pretty wrapping and score the total package. You see, there's more to healing then having your bones put back together and watching the bruises fade. There's more to fighting than knowing how to throw a punch. This is the story of how I put down the down the chips, turned off the TV, and figured that out.
