Those interested in learning more about this remarkable bit of military history will find this reprint of Edward Ruppelt's classic “insider examination” of early Air Force interest in UFO phenomena an invaluable resource. (Captain Edward J. Ruppelt was chief of Project Blue Book from early 1951 until September 1953.) This reprint edition is also notable in that it includes the often overlooked additional three chapters added by Ruppelt for the 1960 second-edition release.
