Jan Hedger started writing children’s poetry eight years ago in her hometown of Birmingham. Her poetry continued to flourish and develop whilst working at Swindon College, where she received a great deal of inspiration and encouragement. Jan's love of life, and her interest in a wide range of subjects, is reflected in her poetry. Jan has had fifteen poems previously published in anthologies and
regularly performs her poetry. She believes poetry should be accessible to everyone. This first collection is of the authors’ lighter style of poetry, showing her passion for words and
her love of the natural world. Jan has lived in England and Scotland and now lives in Bexhill-on-Sea in East Sussex.
