STEADFAST

STEADFAST is a story about the life of Rev. John W. Barnette, a Tennessee Baptist circuit riding preacher born in 1879. He first went to college at age 25 with a fourth grade education. It's a story of his determination to overcome economic and educational limitations to answer his calling of God to preach to small rural Tennessee churches for little pay, but for great joy. The book has considerable genealogical information, and its main setting is in the Tennessee River hills and farmland of Middle and West Tennessee.
