Stealth Planes

Stealth technology has lead to some of the most innovative designs in aviation history most though are inherently unstable machines with flight only made possible by the introduction of FBW flight control systems and the introduction of angular design and radar absorbent materials. In the main it has only been the USA that has produced a number of stealth designs although some airplanes by way of the small size such as the BAe Hawk, Saab Gripen and F-16 and MiG-21 have a degree of stealth by vway of the fact they can be difficult to detect by conventional means.
