Eric was in a good mood and was conversational. He asked why she was at the coffee shop when she should have gone home already – it was seven in the evening. She confided that she was working on her presentation but kept getting short on some data that just wouldn’t coincide with where all the other data was pointing too, she was missing a link. He was not able to comment on what was missing since he didn’t have the facts.
As it turned out, Eric was on his way back to the office for he needed a file he forgot to bring. He was going to use it for a meeting with clients in another city in three days. Their orders came. Both decided to drink their coffees along the way. She shared her dilemma and gave him the facts. Eric was curious. It sounded plausible enough. By the time they reached the building’s first level Eric was sold out to the idea, he offered to help.
