THE GHOST SHIP is an exciting tale of supernatural intrigue, romance and treachery on the high seas. It is a throwback to the kind of mysterious sea adventure yarns one wishes to curl up with by a fire on a stormy night. The year is 1834, a time of brutish sailors, sea-borne treachery, and unchecked superstition. John Merchant and his new wife, Iris, secure a passage to Cornwall, but are advised that the captain they plan to sail with has been cursed. Dismissing the warnings, the couple voyage out, only to find themselves trapped at the center of a swirling psychological hurricane that threatens to destroy their new bond, and surrounded by rough, superstitious men who revile them as bringers of ill luck. As the tale behind the captain’s curse is revealed—-an unspeakable act of cold-blooded piracy—-the dead rise to gain their vengeance, and John and Iris must struggle to save not just their marriage, but their lives.
